"I have to choose between activities because I only have enough energy for one thing."
How it sounds in your head: It's either the doctor appointment OR the grandkids, not both. You have to pick what matters most because you can't do everything anymore. Every choice means something else doesn't happen. You're living in constant triage of your energy.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
-- Ephesians 3:20Scarcity mindset + enemy declaration that God portions out limited strength requiring human rationing.
Doing both actually does result in complete exhaustion. The limited energy is measurable and real. The hard choices are forced by genuine physical limitation that can't be denied.
The widow had exactly enough oil and flour for ONE final meal before starvation. She gave it to Elijah first, and INSTANTLY 'the bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry' for years. One act of obedience released CONTINUOUS SUPPLY that defied her limitation.
I REFUSE the lie that I must ration limited energy among competing demands. IT IS WRITTEN that God does EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY above all I ask, according to the power WORKING IN ME right now. The widow's flour and oil multiplied INSTANTLY when she obeyed—no gradual increase, IMMEDIATE supply. I am not managing scarcity; I am stewarding ABUNDANCE. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham is mine—the BARAK that made Isaac so wealthy the king asked him to leave. That same blessing COMMANDS provision on my storehouses, and energy is part of my storehouse. I receive assignment-specific grace for EVERYTHING God has put on my calendar. My energy source is resurrection power, and there's no shortage in the resurrection.
The Father isn't asking you to pick between His assignments like Sophie's Choice—He's already released ABUNDANCE for every single thing He's called you to today. He's not waiting for you to choose wisely; He's already empowering ALL of it because you're His son.
