"My exhaustion is permanent because I've burned out too many times already and damaged myself."
How it sounds in your head: You've hit burnout before. Multiple times. You ignored the warning signs, pushed too hard, crashed too hard. You've permanently damaged something. Like an engine that's been redlined too many times, you'll never recover full capacity. The damage is done.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Permanent damage lie—believing past burnout creates irreversible consequences beyond God's reach.
You HAVE burned out before. You DO feel different than before those crashes. Medical language talks about 'adrenal fatigue' and 'permanent damage.' It feels like you broke something that can't be fixed.
Mephibosheth was dropped as a baby and crippled in BOTH FEET—permanent physical damage from childhood. David restored him to eat at the king's table DAILY like a son—full restoration of position and provision despite permanent injury, because covenant transcends damage.
I REFUSE the lie that past damage is permanent. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locust has eaten—not manage loss, but RESTORE what was taken. My past burnout doesn't limit His restorative power. IT IS WRITTEN in Revelation 21:5, 'Behold, I make ALL THINGS NEW'—not most things, ALL THINGS. Like Mephibosheth crippled from childhood, I am restored to eat at the King's table RIGHT NOW despite past damage. The same power that raised Lazarus from FOUR DAYS DEAD flows in me. The BARAK blessing speaks LIFE over every burned-out system in my body. I am being RENEWED day by day.
The Father doesn't see your burnout history and shake His head—He sees RESTORATION OPPORTUNITY, running toward you with 'I make all things NEW' already on His lips. What the locust ate, He's restoring RIGHT NOW because that's His nature.
