"I have a disease that can't be cured, only managed. I'll fight this my whole life."
How it sounds in your head: The doctors, the counselors, the meetings—they all say addiction is a chronic disease like diabetes. You can manage it, but never cure it. So you're resigned to a lifetime of vigilance, always one bad day away from disaster, never truly whole.
"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise."
-- Jeremiah 17:14Source: Medical model that denies the supernatural power of the Gospel—reduces spiritual bondage to biology so science becomes your ceiling instead of Jesus becoming your HEALER.
Brain scans show addiction changes your brain. Genetics show predisposition. The science is real, and it feels arrogant to claim you're 'cured' when doctors say that's impossible.
She had an 'incurable' bleeding disorder for twelve years—spent all her money on doctors who made her WORSE. The medical community gave up. One touch of Jesus' garment and IMMEDIATELY the bleeding stopped. Jesus said 'you are HEALED'—not 'you're managing well.'
I REFUSE the lie that I have an incurable disease. IT IS WRITTEN: By His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, finished work. What science calls chronic, Jesus calls CONQUERED. I am not a disease manager; I am a HEALED daughter walking in supernatural wholeness. IT IS WRITTEN: The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me and gives LIFE to my mortal body. My brain, my body, my chemistry—all subject to resurrection power. I am not fighting a disease for life. I am WALKING IN FREEDOM that cost Jesus His life and bought me MINE.
The Father doesn't see you as chronically sick, perpetually broken, forever diseased. He sees you through the blood—WHOLE, HEALED, COMPLETE. He's not managing your disease; He DESTROYED it at the cross. You're not a patient; you're a DAUGHTER.
