"I had sexual experiences with women and God hates me for that sin."
How it sounds in your head: I had lesbian relationships or encounters decades ago and told no one. My generation didn't even have words for it. I see LGBTQ debates and feel condemned from both sides—the church says I'm abomination, the world says I'm repressed. I'm about to face God and I'm terrified He'll reject me for this specific sin.
"And such WERE some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
-- 1 Corinthians 6:11Enemy uses sexual identity confusion to paint you as uniquely condemned. Religion has made homosexuality THE unforgivable sin in a way it never treated adultery or greed.
Your generation buried same-sex experiences in deeper shame than almost anything else, and church culture often treats this as a hierarchy-topping sin. You've heard 'abomination' preached so many times you believe you're unredeemable.
Rahab was a professional prostitute—her sexual sin was her career, her identity, her livelihood. Yet she's listed in the hall of faith (Hebrews 11:31) and in Jesus' genealogy (Matthew 1:5). God not only forgave her sexual past but CHOSE her to be in the Messianic line. If a career prostitute can be in Jesus' family tree, your past is covered.
I REFUSE the lie that my same-sex experiences make me unredeemable. IT IS WRITTEN that such WERE some of the Corinthians, but they were washed, sanctified, justified—past tense, finished, clean. My lesbian encounters are in the WERE category, not the condemnation category. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NOW no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Rahab was a career prostitute and made it into Jesus' genealogy. The BARAK blessing of Abraham covered Judah who slept with his daughter-in-law, and he remained in covenant. Sexual sin doesn't disqualify me from the blessing. I am Abraham's seed through Christ, and that makes me HEIR regardless of my sexual past. My Father runs toward me with the robe that says PURE, not because I lived perfectly, but because Jesus' blood makes me whiter than snow. I am forgiven. I am free. I face eternity CLEAN.
Your Father has never seen your same-sex experiences as bigger than any other sin Jesus covered, and He's been aching to free you from the specific shame that religion layered on this one area. He sees you as His pure daughter, washed white, and He's inviting you to walk into eternity knowing you're fully loved, fully clean, fully welcomed home without a hint of condemnation for what you did in secret decades ago.
