"I had an abortion with an ex-girlfriend. That makes me a murderer in God's eyes forever."
How it sounds in your head: You were part of the decision, maybe even pushed for it. Every time you see a kid, you think about the one that isn't here. You're convinced this is the one sin God can't forgive, the one that makes you unredeemable.
"This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief."
-- 1 Timothy 1:15Religious teaching that abortion is the 'unforgivable sin' plus enemy accusation that you're a murderer beyond redemption.
The weight of the decision haunts him, and religious messaging has convinced him this crosses a line the cross doesn't cover.
Moses MURDERED an Egyptian and buried him in the sand—premeditated enough to hide the body. He fled in fear, spent 40 years in the wilderness, and God appeared in a burning bush and said 'I'm sending YOU to deliver My people.' No rehab, no 'you've learned your lesson'—just instant deployment to leadership of a nation.
I REFUSE the lie that abortion makes me unredeemable. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ came to save SINNERS, of whom Paul called HIMSELF chief—and he was a MURDERER of Christians. Moses KILLED a man and became deliverer of Israel. David arranged MURDER and was called 'a man after God's own heart.' IT IS WRITTEN that the blood of Jesus cleanses from ALL SIN—not most sin, but ALL. There is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I am not defined by my worst decision—I am defined by the CROSS. The BARAK blessing covered murderers in the Old Covenant; how much MORE does the blood of Jesus cover me in the BETTER covenant? I stand FORGIVEN, CLEAN, and FREE.
The blood of Jesus doesn't have a category for 'too far.' Paul murdered believers and became the greatest evangelist. Moses killed a man and led a nation. Your Father sees you as WASHED, not as a murderer.
