"I had an abortion. I killed my own child. That's unforgivable."
How it sounds in your head: I ended a life. How can God forgive that? Other sins are one thing, but I murdered my baby. That blood is on my hands forever.
"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."
-- 1 John 1:7Religious lie: Some sins are too big for the cross—makes Jesus' blood insufficient for the 'worst' sins.
Pro-life culture emphasizes the horror of abortion. The guilt feels heavier than any other sin, like a permanent stain.
Paul murdered Christians, dragged families from their homes, and presided over Stephen's stoning. He called himself the 'chief of sinners,' yet God chose him to write most of the New Testament and called him 'chosen vessel.'
I REFUSE the lie that abortion is unforgivable. IT IS WRITTEN: The blood of Jesus cleanses from ALL sin—not most, ALL. I am not defined by the worst thing I've done. I am defined by the BEST thing Jesus did—He died for THIS, too. The blood speaks louder than guilt. I am not a murderer—I am FORGIVEN, CLEANSED, RIGHTEOUS. IT IS WRITTEN: There is NO condemnation for those in Christ. My child is with Jesus, and so am I—both covered by GRACE.
Your Father doesn't see you as a murderer—He sees you as a daughter who's been forgiven. That baby is in His arms, and so are you.
