"I gave up my dreams for others and now it's too late."
How it sounds in your head: You sacrificed your ambitions for your husband's career, your children's needs, your aging parents' care. Now everyone's grown and gone, and the window for your dreams has closed forever.
"Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs."
-- Isaiah 61:7Source: world's teaching that sacrifice equals loss and cultural conditioning that women's dreams should always be secondary.
You spent 50 years putting everyone else first, and now the opportunities that existed in your 20s don't exist in your 70s. The world tells you to accept what you missed and move on.
85 years old, had waited 45 YEARS for the promise God gave him at 40. Didn't accept retirement or reduced expectations—declared himself as strong at 85 as at 40 and demanded the MOUNTAIN, the hardest conquest, and took it IMMEDIATELY.
I REFUSE the lie that my sacrificed dreams are dead and gone forever. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 61:7 that instead of my shame I receive DOUBLE HONOR—not leftovers, but MULTIPLICATION. Every dream I laid down for others was SEED sown in good soil, and God doesn't waste seed—He produces harvests that break the roof off the barn. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the YEARS the locust ate, which means lost time is not lost to Him—He REDEEMS it with supernatural acceleration. I am under the BARAK blessing where God commands blessing on my storehouses and makes me the head, not the tail. I declare like Caleb at 85: Give me THIS MOUNTAIN. My dreams are not dead; they're about to be resurrected with DOUBLE PORTION.
The Father isn't patting your hand and saying 'maybe next lifetime'—He's running toward you with the DOUBLE PORTION, the same God who gave Sarah her promised son at 90 and made her laugh with impossible joy. Your sacrifice was never loss in His economy; it was seed that's about to yield a harvest that makes up for every tear.
