"I dropped out of college and will always be behind men with degrees."
How it sounds in your head: They're all listing credentials you don't have. LinkedIn reminds you daily. Your wife's friends' husbands all have letters after their names. You're explaining why you didn't finish while they're discussing which graduate program. You're the blue-collar guy at white-collar gatherings.
"The LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
-- 1 Samuel 16:7Source: world's credentialing system, comparison, enemy's hierarchy lies, trauma of feeling less-than.
Job postings literally say 'Bachelor's required.' You've been passed over for promotions because of it. The income gap between high school and college graduates is statistically documented. Society has a ranking system and you're aware of your position.
Amos was a sheepherder and fig picker with zero theological training. When challenged about his lack of credentials, he said 'the LORD took me and said GO.' He wrote Scripture that's still changing lives 2,800 years later. No degree required.
I REFUSE the lie that credentials determine my worth or calling. IT IS WRITTEN that man looks at outward appearance but God looks at the heart. Amos was a fig picker who wrote Scripture. Peter and John were unschooled yet turned the world upside down. God doesn't grade on a curve. The BARAK blessing flows to Abraham's seed—that's my only credential. IT IS WRITTEN I am blessed coming in and going out, the head and not the tail. My Provider is God, not my diploma. I am QUALIFIED by His blood, EQUIPPED by His Spirit.
The Father isn't checking your transcripts. He's handing you keys to the kingdom while you're still worried about what looks good on paper. His promotion doesn't require a degree.
