"I dropped out and now I'm permanently behind everyone else"
How it sounds in your head: You left college. Your friends are graduating, getting real jobs, posting cap-and-gown photos. You're explaining to everyone why you're 'taking time off.' Your dad's disappointed silence says everything. You're 22 with no degree, watching your high school class move forward while you're stuck. The dropout. The one who couldn't finish.
"For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel."
-- Zechariah 4:10Source: education system worship that equates credentials with destiny and delayed starts with permanent failure
His friends are hitting milestones while he's working retail. Every family gathering includes questions about 'going back.' Job applications ask for degrees he doesn't have. The comparison is constant and quantifiable.
Amos had zero prophetic training or credentials—'I was no prophet, nor was I a son of a prophet, but I was a sheepbreeder.' God pulled him from the fields and made him prophet to the nation. No seminary, no mentorship program, no gradual process—instant authority.
I REFUSE the lie that dropping out makes me permanently behind. IT IS WRITTEN that God doesn't despise small beginnings, and my gifts will make room for me regardless of credentials. I am blessed with the BARAK—blessed in the city and in the field, blessed in unconventional paths. God took a sheepbreeder and made him prophet to kings without training. My timeline is NOT my classmates' timeline—it's GOD'S timeline. IT IS WRITTEN: There is no condemnation. I am the head and not the tail. My destiny isn't determined by a diploma but by DIVINE FAVOR that opens doors education can't.
The Father isn't disappointed you took a different path. He's the God who makes shepherd boys into kings and fishermen into apostles—He's never needed a resume to release a destiny. Your 'delay' is His setup.
