"I don't know enough about the Bible or theology to spiritually lead my family."
How it sounds in your head: You're supposed to be the spiritual leader, but you can't even remember half the books of the Bible. Other guys lead family devotions and pray eloquent prayers. You stumble over words and feel like a fraud. Your kids will see through you and lose respect.
"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus."
-- Acts 4:13Religion: The lie that spiritual authority requires academic knowledge or theological expertise, making leadership about KNOWING instead of ABIDING.
You've sat in church next to guys who quote Greek and Hebrew, who've been Christians since childhood, who've read the entire Bible multiple times. You've got maybe 10% of that knowledge, and the gap feels disqualifying.
Amos was a shepherd and a fig farmer—no prophetic training, no seminary degree, not even from a prophetic family. God called him DIRECTLY from the field, and he became one of the most powerful prophetic voices in Scripture. INSTANT authority from an instant call.
I REFUSE the lie that I need Bible knowledge to spiritually lead my family. IT IS WRITTEN that Peter and John were unlearned and ignorant men, yet they turned the world upside down because they had BEEN WITH JESUS. My authority comes from ABIDING in the Vine, not from accumulating information. I am a BRANCH—I don't produce fruit by studying; I produce fruit by STAYING CONNECTED. IT IS WRITTEN that I have the mind of Christ, and that the Holy Spirit leads me into all truth. I lead from RELATIONSHIP, not from knowledge. My family is blessed because I am blessed, and the BARAK covers my leadership.
The Father isn't waiting for you to finish a theology degree. He's running toward you NOW, handing you the ring of authority and saying, 'You're the spiritual leader because I SAID SO—now just stay close to Me and watch what happens.' Proximity produces power, not study.
