"I don't have the confidence or self-assurance that successful people have—I second-guess everything I do."
How it sounds in your head: She makes decisions without agonizing. She walks into rooms like she belongs there. You overthink every choice, replay every conversation, and wonder if you're doing anything right. Confident people don't live like this.
"For the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught."
-- Proverbs 3:26Enemy using perfectionism and fear of failure to paralyze you with chronic self-doubt.
Every decision becomes an ordeal—you change your outfit five times, rewrite the text ten times, and still wonder if you made the wrong choice. Confident people don't do this, which means something is fundamentally wrong with your wiring.
Peter said, 'Lord, if it's You, command me to come on the water.' He didn't wait to feel confident—he STEPPED OUT while still questioning. He started sinking from doubt, but Jesus IMMEDIATELY caught him. Peter's doubt didn't disqualify him; Jesus still made him the rock on which He built the church.
I REFUSE the lie that I need perfect confidence before I move. IT IS WRITTEN that the LORD is my confidence, and He keeps my foot from being caught. My security doesn't rest on my certainty—it rests on HIS FAITHFULNESS. I am not defined by my doubts; I am defined by His promises. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND. I don't need self-assurance—I have GOD-assurance. I am CONFIDENT in Him, secure in His love, and bold because HE is with me.
The Father isn't waiting for you to stop second-guessing—He's already calling you CONFIDENT and promising to catch you when you step out. While you're paralyzed by doubt, He's inviting you to walk on water with the absolute certainty that He won't let you drown.
