"I don't have enough years left to rebuild trust - why even try at this point?"
How it sounds in your head: Trust takes years to build. I've got maybe five good years left, if that. By the time I'd feel safe with someone again, I'll probably be dead or in memory care. What's the point of starting something I won't live to finish?
"It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear."
-- Isaiah 65:24World's lie that healing requires equal time to the wound and that age disqualifies from new beginnings.
The math of remaining lifespan versus typical therapy timelines makes deep healing feel mathematically impossible.
The thief had HOURS left to live - literally dying. No time for therapy, process, healing journey, or trust-rebuilding. Jesus said 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise' - complete forgiveness, full restoration, eternal security in ONE SENTENCE while dying.
I REFUSE the lie that I don't have enough time for healing. IT IS WRITTEN that God answers BEFORE I call and hears while I'm still speaking - and He's answering RIGHT NOW. Time is not my master; the Timeless One is my Father. IT IS WRITTEN that the thief on the cross received paradise in HOURS - I have MORE than enough time for complete restoration. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and healing doesn't require years when resurrection power is INSTANT. The Father is compressing decades of restoration into THIS moment. I am HEALED now.
The Father doesn't look at your remaining years and sigh. He looks at them and says 'WATCH what I can do with five years of surrender versus 50 years of striving.' Your sunset isn't an ending - it's the most glorious part of the painting. He saves the best wine for last.
