"I don't feel powerful, so I must not have spiritual authority."
How it sounds in your head: When you look in the mirror, you see a regular kid. You don't feel like a mighty warrior. Real spiritual authority would FEEL different—more confident, more powerful, more something. You just feel like you.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:7Enemy lie that confuses POSITION (truth) with EMOTION (fluctuating feelings).
Your feelings are real and immediate. Authority seems like it should come with overwhelming power sensations. When you don't feel different, you doubt the spiritual reality.
Gideon was hiding in a winepress, terrified, when the angel called him 'mighty man of valor.' Gideon FELT weak and said 'I'm the least in my family.' God saw his POSITION as deliverer before Gideon FELT powerful. He defeated 135,000 soldiers with 300 men.
I REFUSE the lie that my feelings determine my authority. IT IS WRITTEN that I walk by faith, not by sight or feelings. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places far above all rule and authority—that's POSITION, not emotion. IT IS WRITTEN that I have authority over ALL the power of the enemy. How I feel doesn't change WHO I AM in Christ. I have the BARAK blessing spoken over Abraham—blessed regardless of circumstances or feelings. Gideon felt like the weakest but was called mighty warrior. My identity is TRUTH, not feelings.
The Father isn't waiting for you to feel powerful. He's already placed you in the seat of authority next to Jesus, and that position is FACT whether you feel it on Monday or doubt it on Tuesday.
