"I don't feel God anymore, which proves He was probably just in my head all along."
How it sounds in your head: When I was younger I felt God during worship and prayer. Now I don't feel anything. Maybe I was just emotional back then and made it all up. Maybe I'm finally seeing reality.
"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
-- Deuteronomy 31:6Enemy tactic to equate God's presence with emotional feelings, when relationship is based on covenant not sensation.
He genuinely felt something before and now doesn't, confirming the experience was psychological not real. He's becoming 'more mature' by being skeptical.
Elijah expected God in the earthquake, wind, and fire—dramatic feelings. But God came in a STILL SMALL VOICE, a gentle whisper that required quiet attention, not emotional intensity. God was just as present but manifested differently!
I REFUSE the lie that God's presence depends on my feelings! IT IS WRITTEN that He will NEVER leave me nor forsake me—never means never! My emotions are changing because I'm growing, but God's covenant promise doesn't change! IT IS WRITTEN that He goes with me whether I feel it or not. Elijah learned God isn't always in the earthquake of emotion but in the still small voice! I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing doesn't lift when feelings fade. The Father hasn't gone anywhere—I'm just learning to sense Him in new ways!
The Father hasn't left you because feelings changed—He's teaching you to relate to Him beyond emotion. He's MORE present now than before, training you to recognize Him without needing emotional highs.
