"I don't deserve financial blessing because of how I've mismanaged what God gave me."
How it sounds in your head: God gave you opportunities and you squandered them. Why would He trust you with more? You proved you're not a good steward. Other men handle money better.
"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
-- Romans 11:29Performance theology that makes God's provision conditional on management skills rather than covenant position.
You can point to specific decisions where you chose poorly. The Christian stewardship sermons echo in your head about being faithful with little.
Deceived his father Isaac with lies to steal Esau's blessing—when Isaac discovered it, he trembled but declared 'I have blessed him and he SHALL BE blessed.' The blessing couldn't be reversed even by deception and lies, proving blessing is covenant-based, not performance-based.
I REFUSE the lie that mismanagement disqualifies me from blessing. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 11:29 that God's gifts are IRREVOCABLE—not performance-based. Jacob stole a blessing through lies and Isaac said he SHALL BE blessed anyway. The prodigal WASTED everything and got ring, robe, sandals. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13-14 that Christ redeemed me from the curse so the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM would come on me. My qualification is HIS blood, not my management skills. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and Deuteronomy 28:8 says He commands blessing on my storehouses—not because I earned it but because I'm IN Him.
Your Father doesn't bless you based on your management track record—He blesses you based on HIS NATURE and YOUR POSITION. You're in Christ, and that makes you blessing-qualified.
