Wasted his entire inheritance on wild living and prostitutes, ended up in complete poverty feeding pigs. Father saw him coming from far away, RAN to him, embraced him while he still smelled like pig waste, and threw an immediate celebration with no payment plan or probation period.
I REFUSE the lie that I deserve poverty because I spent money on fun instead of saving. I am Abraham's seed and HEIR according to promise. The blessing of the Lord makes rich and He adds no sorrow with it. I am blessed in my going out and coming in because I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
Your Father isn't making you earn back what you spent through years of poverty and discipline - He's RUNNING toward you right now with the ring and robe of full restoration. He doesn't see wasted money and say 'you deserve this,' He sees His son coming home and prepares the PARTY because His response is based on covenant love, not your spending habits.
