"I confessed it but didn't feel it, so nothing will happen"
How it sounds in your head: I said the words—declared healing, proclaimed provision, confessed breakthrough. But I didn't FEEL anything. It felt empty, like I was lying. Real faith would have felt powerful. I was just going through motions.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:7Source: Religion's emotionalism that measures faith validity by feelings rather than obedience to speak God's Word
Midlife hormones make emotions unreliable. You feel numb, disconnected, and every confession feels like shouting into a void. The absence of emotional confirmation feels like proof that your words were powerless.
The centurion understood authority—he told Jesus 'just speak the word, and my servant will be healed.' No laying on of hands, no emotional experience, no feelings. Jesus spoke from a distance, and the servant was healed that same hour—word obeyed, not emotion generated.
I REFUSE the lie that feelings validate my faith. IT IS WRITTEN that we walk by faith, not sight or emotion. Jesus spoke to the fig tree without feeling power—it died. The centurion believed Jesus' WORD without emotional experience—instant healing. IT IS WRITTEN that God's Word does not return void but accomplishes what He pleases. My confession is seed planted, not emotion generated. I am under the BARAK blessing that operated whether Abraham felt blessed or not. My words agree with God's words, and that's enough.
The Father isn't waiting for you to feel something before He moves. Your obedience to speak His Word, even when it feels mechanical and empty, is the EXACT faith He honors—and breakthrough comes to the words spoken in numbness just as powerfully as words spoken in emotion.
