"I come from poverty so I'll always struggle financially."
How it sounds in your head: Your family has never had money. This is just your lot. You watch friends whose parents pay their rent and you're scraping by on ramen. The generational pattern is clear—you come from lack, so lack is what you'll have. Breaking out feels impossible.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Enemy using generational patterns to deny covenant blessing and keep her in limitation.
Every generation she knows in her family has struggled with money. It feels like DNA. Her friends from wealthier families have a starting line she'll never reach.
They were slaves for 400 YEARS—owned nothing, had nothing, were nothing by world's standards. In ONE NIGHT, they asked Egyptians for gold and silver, and God gave them such favor that they left wealthy. Generational slavery ended in one obedient moment.
I REFUSE the lie that my family's financial history determines my future. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse so the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM comes upon me. Poverty is the curse—Deuteronomy 28:15. Provision is the blessing—Deuteronomy 28:1-14. I stand in the BETTER covenant through Jesus' blood. The BARAK blessing that made Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob wealthy is MINE by promise. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 8:9 that Jesus became poor so I might become rich. Generational patterns bow to covenant promises. I am blessed and highly favored.
Your Father isn't limited by your family tree—He specializes in taking slaves and making them wealthy in one night. The blessing of Abraham isn't earned through financial literacy; it's received through being in Christ, and you're already in Him.
