"I can't worship or pray freely because demons attack me when I try to get close to God"
How it sounds in your head: Every time I try to worship or pray, I feel oppressed—dark thoughts flood in, I feel physical pressure, or I get distracted. Maybe demons attack me specifically when I try to connect with God.
"But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel"
-- Psalm 22:3Source: Enemy intimidation tactic that makes worship feel dangerous instead of the very weapon that defeats him
He experiences resistance when he tries to pray or worship, so the enemy makes him think it's demonic attack rather than normal spiritual warfare that worship defeats. The resistance feels like proof he's targeted.
Paul and Silas were beaten, bleeding, and locked in prison stocks at midnight. They worshiped anyway, and INSTANTLY an earthquake shook the prison, every door flew open, and every chain broke. Their worship in the darkest moment brought instant breakthrough.
I REFUSE the lie that demons attack me when I worship. IT IS WRITTEN: God is 'enthroned in the praises' of His people (Psalm 22:3). My worship doesn't invite attack—it DEFEATS the enemy. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Through praise, God commands strength and stills the enemy and the avenger' (Psalm 8:2). My worship breaks chains. The resistance I feel is the enemy's FEAR, not his power. I worship freely because I am SEATED with Christ far above all demonic power. The BARAK blessing makes me untouchable—terror falls on my enemies when I praise.
Father isn't watching you struggle to worship. He's inviting you: 'Sing to Me—watch every chain break as you do.' He sees your worship as the earthquake that shatters prison doors, not as the invitation to attack.
