"I can't trust the Bible because men wrote it to control women like me."
How it sounds in your head: Every verse about submission was wielded like a weapon. You're supposed to be quiet, small, always serving. The 'biblical womanhood' you were taught felt like a cage, and you wonder if the whole Bible is just ancient patriarchy disguised as divine revelation.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
-- Galatians 3:28Religious men twisted Scripture to serve male power instead of revealing Father's heart.
You watched your mom suppress her gifts because of 1 Timothy 2. Your voice was silenced in church. Every time you had a thought, someone had a verse to shut you down. The Bible feels like a tool of oppression, not liberation.
Deborah was a prophet, judge, military commander, and wife in a patriarchal society—God chose her to lead the entire nation of Israel. When the male general Barak refused to go to battle without her, she went and took the glory, and God recorded it in Scripture forever as HIS design, not an exception.
I REFUSE the lie that the Bible is a weapon against women. IT IS WRITTEN that in Christ there is neither male nor female—full equality before God. Deborah led nations. Huldah verified Scripture. Priscilla taught Apollos. The women at the tomb were the first evangelists. The distortion of these truths is religious control, not divine design. IT IS WRITTEN that God anoints whom He chooses, and He has anointed women throughout Scripture despite patriarchal cultures trying to silence them. The BARAK blessing flows through Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, and Leah—women were NEVER excluded from covenant. I am a co-heir with Christ, and no human hierarchy can diminish what God has declared.
The Father is furious that His daughters were told to shrink in His name. He gave you a voice, gifts, a mind, a calling—and He is cheering you on to use ALL of them for His glory.
