THE LIE Occult Past

"I can't trust my spiritual discernment because I was deceived by the occult for so long."

How it sounds in your head: I thought energy healing was good. I thought my spirit guides were angels. I was SO deceived. How can I trust myself now? What if I'm still being deceived? I can't trust my own spiritual instincts.

Enemy whispers: 'You can't trust yourself. You were deceived before and you'll be deceived again.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: John 10:27 - 'My sheep LISTEN to My voice.' Not 'my sheep who were never deceived listen.' ALL His sheep hear His voice. You're not disqualified by past deception—you're TRAINED by it. You know counterfeits NOW because you've seen them. Your discernment is SHARPER, not broken.

WHERE THIS LIE COMES FROM

Enemy using past deception to create PERMANENT spiritual insecurity and inability to hear God's voice.

Why this feels true:

She remembers feeling CERTAIN about practices that were demonic. If she was wrong then, she could be wrong now. The enemy replays her certainty in deception to make her doubt every spiritual impression.

THE BIBLICAL PRECEDENT Matthew 16:16-23

Peter

Peter declared Jesus as Messiah by DIVINE REVELATION (v.17), then IMMEDIATELY spoke Satan's words trying to prevent the cross (v.23). Same day, same man—revelation AND deception. Jesus didn't say, 'You can't be trusted anymore.' He made him a ROCK and gave him the KEYS.

YOUR CONFESSION Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that past deception disqualified my discernment. IT IS WRITTEN: His sheep HEAR His voice. I am His sheep. I was DECEIVED but now I SEE. My past makes me WISE to counterfeits, not blind to truth. Peter spoke Satan's words one minute and revelation the next—Jesus still gave him the KEYS. IT IS WRITTEN that the Holy Spirit will guide me into ALL truth. I am not spiritually handicapped—I am TRAINED, ALERT, and TUNED to the Father's voice. I TRUST the Holy Spirit in me more than I fear the enemy's deception. I HEAR and I KNOW His voice.
