"I can't date or pursue relationships—no girl wants a guy with health problems."

How it sounds in your head: Who's going to want to deal with this? Girls want a guy who's strong, healthy, someone who can take care of them. I'm the opposite—I need help, I have limitations. Why would anyone choose this? Better to not even try than to face rejection when they find out.

1 Samuel 16:7

"But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.'"

-- 1 Samuel 16:7
Enemy whispers: 'No girl will want you because of your health—you're disqualified from love.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: 1 Samuel 16:7—'Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the HEART.' The RIGHT person, the one God has for you, won't be repelled by your condition—she'll be attracted to your HEART, your character, your spirit. If someone rejects you for your health, they've disqualified THEMSELVES, not you. God doesn't make junk, and He doesn't create people to be alone. Your diagnosis doesn't disqualify you from love—it reveals who's WORTHY of you.
Quick Truth: LIE: No one will love me because I'm sick. TRUTH: God looks at the heart, not appearance—1 Sam 16:7. Isaac didn't chase; God BROUGHT Rebekah to him. You're chosen.

World's lie that love is transactional—that you must be 'enough' on your own to deserve being chosen.

Why this feels true:

Dating at this age is already terrifying, and chronic illness adds a layer of vulnerability. Society glorifies physical perfection, especially for men. He imagines the conversation where he discloses his condition and sees rejection. Fear of being pitied or seen as 'damaged goods' feels more real than the possibility of being loved AS IS.

Genesis 24:1-67
Isaac and Rebekah

Abraham sent a servant to find Isaac a wife—Isaac didn't have to chase, prove himself, or perform. God BROUGHT Rebekah to him. She met him while he was meditating in a field (not flexing at the gym). She saw him, loved him, and the text says 'Isaac was comforted' after his mother's death. His wife was a GIFT, divinely orchestrated, not something he earned by being 'enough.'

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my illness disqualifies me from love or relationships. IT IS WRITTEN that man looks at outward appearance, but God looks at the HEART—and my heart is His dwelling place. The right person will see me as GOD sees me—chosen, loved, valuable. I am not damaged goods; I am a SON of the King. IT IS WRITTEN that he who finds a wife finds a GOOD thing and obtains FAVOR from the Lord. God is not withholding relationship from me because of sickness—He's preparing someone who will SEE me, truly see me, and choose me with JOY. The BARAK blessing includes FAVOR with people, provision of relationship, and divine INCREASE. I am blessed, I am loved, and I am MORE than enough.

But God actually:

The Father isn't waiting for you to 'get better' before He brings love into your life—He's already handpicked someone who will see you the way HE sees you: as a treasure, not a burden. Just like He brought Eve to Adam without Adam asking, He's orchestrating your story with GOODNESS.
