"I can't ask God for money. That's selfish and greedy."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone says money is the root of all evil. If I pray for money, I'm being materialistic. Real Christians only pray for spiritual things. I should be ashamed for even thinking about asking God to help with my allowance or what I need.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19Source: Religion taught only 'spiritual' prayers are acceptable, twisting poverty into false humility.
Church culture praises suffering and mocks prosperity as shallow. He hears 'money doesn't matter' while simultaneously watching adults stress about bills, creating confusing double standards.
A widow had only enough flour and oil for one last meal before starvation. God spoke through Elijah and the flour jar NEVER ran empty and the oil jug NEVER ran dry—instant, continuous supernatural provision during famine.
I REFUSE the lie that asking God for provision is selfish. IT IS WRITTEN that my God SHALL supply ALL my need according to HIS riches in glory. I am Abraham's seed through Christ, heir to the BARAK blessing that protected and PROVIDED even when Abraham lied, even when Jacob deceived, even when they failed. My provision flows from COVENANT, not my goodness. IT IS WRITTEN in Matthew 7:11 that if I, being evil, know how to give good gifts, HOW MUCH MORE does my Father give good things to those who ask. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and I boldly ask my Father for everything I need.
Your Father is NOT rolling His eyes at your needs—He's RUNNING toward you with His checkbook open. Before you even finish asking, He's already commanded blessing on your storehouses because you're IN CHRIST, and Christ redeemed you from poverty's curse into Abraham's abundance.
