"I can't afford to tithe right now—maybe when I'm more financially stable."
How it sounds in your head: You're already drowning. Giving 10% would mean choosing between gas and groceries. That's not faith, that's foolishness. God understands you need to be responsible first.
"So He said, 'Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.'"
-- Luke 21:3-4Source: Religion teaching provision comes through hoarding, not generosity. Enemy convincing you scarcity is wisdom.
Your bank account is literally in the negative and rent is due in five days. Every financial expert would say you can't give what you don't have.
In extreme famine, down to her last meal before death, she gave FIRST to the prophet from her lack. The barrel of meal never ran out and the jar of oil never failed for years—instant perpetual provision the moment she gave.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too broke to be generous. IT IS WRITTEN that the poor widow gave all she had and Jesus called it MORE than abundance. My poverty doesn't disqualify me from the blessing—it positions me for supernatural multiplication. I am Abraham's seed, heir according to PROMISE, and the BARAK blessing protects and prospers me even when the math doesn't make sense. IT IS WRITTEN that my God supplies all my need according to His riches in glory. I give not to GET, but because I'm already blessed, and provision flows through open hands, not clenched fists.
The Father is NOT waiting for your account to hit a certain number before He can bless you—He's already running toward you with the fattened calf while you're still smelling like financial failure. The widow gave her last, and Heaven called it worship, not foolishness.
