"I can't afford to be generous with God's work anymore on my fixed income"
How it sounds in your head: I want to give, but I have to be 'realistic' now. God understands I'm on a fixed income. I gave when I could afford it, but that season is over.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:8World's economy says you give from surplus; Kingdom economy says you give from SEED and receive HARVEST
The budget is tight and every dollar is accounted for. Giving feels irresponsible when basic needs are barely covered. Logic says keep what little you have.
Gave her LAST two coins, everything she had to live on, while rich people gave from surplus. Jesus didn't rebuke her for being 'irresponsible' - He CELEBRATED her and said she gave MORE than all the wealthy donors. Faith doesn't calculate based on what's left.
I REFUSE the lie that I can't afford to be generous! IT IS WRITTEN: God makes ALL grace ABOUND that I ALWAYS have ALL sufficiency in ALL things with ABUNDANCE for every good work! I am not on a 'fixed income' - I'm connected to an UNLIMITED SOURCE! The BARAK blessing means I lend and don't borrow, I'm the head not the tail! IT IS WRITTEN: Give and it SHALL be given - pressed down, shaken together, running over! The widow gave her last and Jesus celebrated her! My generosity isn't based on my account balance - it's based on my FATHER'S unlimited supply!
The Father isn't looking at your bank balance asking if you can afford it - He's looking at your heart, ready to pour out WINDOWS OF HEAVEN blessing. The widow gave her last and He immortalized her story. Generosity isn't about your capacity; it's about His faithfulness to multipliers.
