"I ask too many questions and challenge authority too much"
How it sounds in your head: You can't just accept things—you always need to know WHY. Your questions make leaders uncomfortable. Youth pastors sidestepped your doubts. Professors got irritated. You're argumentative, rebellious, unteachable. If you were more submissive, you'd fit better.
"These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so."
-- Acts 17:11Religion demanding blind compliance instead of wrestling faith like Jacob
You've been told to 'just have faith' when you asked hard questions about suffering or doctrine. Leaders have called you argumentative when you were genuinely trying to understand, making you feel like your mind is a problem.
Gideon asked God for proof TWICE—the fleece wet/dry, then dry/wet—testing the Almighty like a science experiment. God didn't rebuke him; He ANSWERED both times, then used this 'doubter' to defeat an entire army with 300 men.
I REFUSE the lie that my questions prove rebellion. IT IS WRITTEN that the Bereans were MORE FAIR-MINDED because they SEARCHED the Scriptures to test what they heard. God gave Gideon SIGNS when he asked, gave Thomas PROOF when he doubted. My wrestling mind is JACOB-level faith, not defiance. IT IS WRITTEN that the BARAK blessing makes me the HEAD and not the TAIL—I lead with discernment, not blind compliance. I am not unteachable; I am UNMOVABLE by lies dressed as authority. The Father celebrates my questions because they prove I'm seeking TRUTH, not swallowing tradition.
The Father isn't frustrated by your questions—He's grinning, saying, 'That's My boy, refusing to eat the snake when they called it bread.' He LOVES that you search for truth like treasure.
