"I abused someone and got away with it. God knows and I deserve hell."

How it sounds in your head: I hurt someone—maybe a child, maybe someone vulnerable—and no one ever found out. I see news stories about abusers and know I'm one of them. How can I pray? How can I call myself a Christian? I'm a predator who hid in the church. There's no grace for what I did in secret.

1 Timothy 1:15

"This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief."

-- 1 Timothy 1:15
Enemy whispers: 'You abused someone and got away with it—you're beyond grace.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: 1 Timothy 1:15 - 'Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.' Paul wrote this after murdering Christians, dragging women from their homes, destroying families. He called himself CHIEF of sinners, yet God called him APOSTLE. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 5:20 - 'Where sin abounded, grace abounded MUCH MORE.' Your sin is not bigger than His grace. The thief on the cross had hours to live and nothing to make right—yet Jesus gave him paradise. Your abuse was evil. AND Jesus' blood covers evil. Confession to God brings forgiveness FROM God. You may owe earthly consequences, but you don't owe eternal condemnation.
Quick Truth: LIE: My abuse is unforgivable. TRUTH: Christ came to save chief sinners like Paul. 1 Tim 1:15

Enemy uses the most heinous category to convince you the cross has limits, making abuse 'beyond redemption.' Religion creates unforgivable sin categories that nullify Jesus' blood.

Why this feels true:

Culture rightly condemns abuse as ultimate evil, and you've internalized that you're irredeemable. You've lived decades knowing you're a hypocrite, and the silence makes it feel like permanent guilt that even God won't touch.

Acts 8:3; 9:1-19
Paul (Saul)

Paul dragged men and women from their homes, approved Stephen's murder, and breathed threats and murder against Christians—terrorizing families and destroying the early church. Yet Jesus appeared to him, called him, and used him to write most of the New Testament. If Jesus can call a violent persecutor of families 'my chosen vessel,' your abuse is covered by the same blood.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my abuse puts me beyond redemption. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ came to save sinners, of whom Paul—a murderer of families—was chief, yet became an apostle. What I did was evil. AND the cross covers evil. IT IS WRITTEN that where sin abounds, grace abounds MUCH MORE. I do not minimize what I did. I confess it was wicked. AND I receive what Jesus purchased: forgiveness for the worst of sinners. The BARAK blessing of Abraham covered Jacob's sons who murdered an entire city, and God still protected them. I am Abraham's seed through Christ, and covenant includes the worst of us. My Father runs toward me not because I deserve it, but because Jesus deserved the punishment I earned. I am forgiven. I am free. I will NOT let shame steal my final peace when Jesus already paid for my final freedom.

But God actually:

Your Father has been waiting for you to bring this specific evil into the light so He can demonstrate that His blood covers what you thought was uncoverable. He's not minimizing the harm—He's maximizing the cross, showing you that Jesus descended into hell itself to purchase your freedom, and nothing you did in darkness is stronger than what He did in resurrection light.
