"Her house is huge and mine is small and old."
How it sounds in your head: When friends come over I'm embarrassed because our house is tiny and nothing matches and stuff is old. Hers looks like a magazine and I don't want to invite anyone here. God gave them a nice house and stuck us here.
"The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says the LORD of hosts."
-- Haggai 2:9Enemy using physical space to create shame and make her believe environment determines blessing or worth.
The size difference is measurable and visible. She can count rooms and see the age of things, making the comparison feel like objective fact about who has more and who has less, which feels like who God favors more.
A widow was so poor she was preparing her last meal with her last bit of flour and oil, planning to eat it and die. Elijah showed up and she shared what little she had—her jar of flour and jug of oil didn't run out for YEARS, supernatural supply in a tiny house during famine, provision appearing daily.
I REFUSE the lie that house size determines God's blessing or my worth. IT IS WRITTEN that the glory of the latter shall be greater than the former and God gives peace in THIS place—the place I'm in right now. I am Abraham's seed and the BARAK blessing follows me wherever I live—Abraham lived in TENTS and was blessed in the field. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 91:1 that I dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and no square footage can contain God's presence. The blessing is on me, not on buildings, and my home is filled with the glory of God regardless of its age or size.
The Father isn't measuring your worth by your address—He's running toward you with the RING and ROBE while you're still in the small house. He sees you as ROYALTY already, and His presence in your home makes it a palace regardless of what it looks like compared to anyone else's.
