"Everyone else is building wealth while I'm still struggling at my age"
How it sounds in your head: You look around at guys your age—some have investment portfolios, rental properties, college funds fully stocked. You're still trying to figure out next month. You feel like you missed something everyone else figured out. The shame whispers: you're behind, and at this age, it's too late to catch up.
"The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, says the LORD of hosts."
-- Haggai 2:8Enemy assignment to measure covenant blessing by comparison to those under different assignments, stealing gratitude and blinding you to the Father's current provision.
Social media shows everyone's wins, none of their debt. Every conversation at church or work seems to highlight someone else's promotion, purchase, or portfolio—making your steady provision feel like failure by contrast.
Job lost everything—wealth, children, health—and his friends spent 37 chapters explaining why he deserved it. In ONE DAY, God restored double everything he lost: 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 oxen, 1,000 donkeys—instant wealth multiplication that made him the richest man in the land again.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm behind because others appear ahead. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, says the LORD of hosts'—every resource on earth belongs to my Father, and I am His heir. I am NOT in competition with other men; I am in COVENANT with Almighty God. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine through Christ—I am blessed coming in and going out, the Lord COMMANDS blessing on my storehouse. IT IS WRITTEN: I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and my Father knows what I need before I ask. I walk in the wealth transfer of the wicked stored up for the righteous.
Your Father isn't comparing your balance sheet to anyone else's—He's comparing His promise to His character, and He CANNOT lie. While you're measuring yourself against neighbors, He's measuring His faithfulness against His covenant, and you're about to see Him move in ways that erase years of 'behind' in moments.
