"Healing isn't God's priority at my age. He's preparing me for heaven, not extending my life here."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe God is more focused on my eternal soul than my failing body. Asking for healing seems selfish when I should be focused on making peace with Him and preparing to meet Him face to face.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Gnostic dualism that separates spiritual and physical, making the body disposable and heaven escapism rather than resurrection reality.
His pastor has been visiting to talk about 'being ready to meet the Lord,' and everyone is treating his body like a temporary shell to be shed. Prioritizing physical healing feels carnal compared to spiritual readiness.
Jairus' twelve-year-old daughter DIED while he was getting Jesus—messengers said 'she's dead, don't trouble the Teacher.' Jesus ignored the report, went to the house, took her hand, and said 'Little girl, arise'—she IMMEDIATELY rose and walked.
I REFUSE the lie that God prioritizes my death over my healing. IT IS WRITTEN: I pray you prosper in ALL things and be in health just as your soul prospers. God isn't either/or—He's BOTH/AND. Jesus raised Jairus' daughter from death because life matters to Him. I am under the BARAK blessing—Abraham lived 175 years, Isaac 180, Jacob 147 because covenant blessing includes LONG LIFE. IT IS WRITTEN: with long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation. God isn't rushing me to heaven. He's offering abundant life on earth AND eternal life after. I receive BOTH.
The Father isn't preparing your funeral while you're asking for breakfast—He's the Father who sees the prodigal still FAR OFF and runs, who doesn't wait until the son reaches the gate to decide he's worthy. God doesn't have an either/or relationship with your body and soul—He MADE both, Jesus REDEEMED both, and the Spirit wants to resurrect BOTH.
