"Healing isn't for everyone—some people God chooses to remain sick for His purposes."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I'm just not one of the ones He chooses to heal. Some people get miracles, others get grace to endure. I guess I'm in the second group.
"When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.'"
-- Matthew 8:16-17Religious teaching of selective healing based on God's mysterious sovereignty, making Him sound arbitrary and cruel instead of 'no respecter of persons.'
Some people at church get healed and others don't despite equal faith and prayer. The randomness seems to prove God chooses who gets healing and who doesn't.
Wherever Jesus went—villages, cities, countryside—they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged to touch His garment. And AS MANY as touched Him were made WHOLE—100% healing rate, no selectivity, no favorites.
I REFUSE the lie that healing is only for some people. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus healed ALL who were sick—that includes me. He is no respecter of persons. What He did for one, He does for all. He took MY infirmities and bore MY sicknesses at the cross. IT IS WRITTEN that as many as touched Him were made whole. I am touching Him now in faith, and I receive the same wholeness. Healing is not selective—it's FINISHED. I am healed because HE was wounded.
The Father isn't picking favorites—He already healed EVERYONE at the cross. He's running toward you with the same healing He gave every person who touched Jesus, because His goodness doesn't play favorites.
