"God's waiting for me to get my life together before He'll move on my behalf."
How it sounds in your head: You're struggling with this sin, that relationship, your attitude—God's not going to bless a mess. Clean up first, then He'll help you.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Religious works-based lie—total reversal of the gospel, straight from Pharisee playbook.
She's still texting that ex, or struggling with her thought life, or fighting with her parents. Church culture says 'God won't bless sin,' so she believes breakthrough is on hold until she's 'good enough.'
Dragged into the street DURING the act, literally caught in sin, stones in hand ready to kill her. Jesus didn't say 'Clean up first, then we'll talk.' He said 'Neither do I condemn you'—BEFORE she changed anything, while still guilty, He gave her full forgiveness and freedom INSTANTLY.
I REFUSE the lie that God is waiting for me to clean up before He moves. IT IS WRITTEN that while I was STILL a sinner, Christ died for me—He moved at my worst, not my best. I am under GRACE, not law, and IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I am Abraham's seed, covered by the BARAK that protected them even when they LIED, DECEIVED, and MURDERED—the blessing wasn't based on behavior but COVENANT. The Father is running toward me RIGHT NOW, robe and ring in hand, not waiting for me to deserve it. My mess doesn't pause His movement.
The Father isn't standing back with arms crossed waiting for you to perform—He's running toward you RIGHT NOW, mid-struggle, mid-sin, mid-mess, with the robe and ring. He interrupts your 'make me a servant' speech because you were NEVER a servant—you're a DAUGHTER.
