"God's timing isn't right yet; I need to wait patiently for His perfect timing."
How it sounds in your head: God has a reason for the delay. Maybe there's something He's working out in you or in your circumstances first. You're being tested in the waiting. Trust His timing, even if it means years of suffering. His ways are higher than yours.
"For He says: 'In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.' Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
-- 2 Corinthians 6:2Source: religious patience teaching that makes God the delayer of good things, contradicting the Father's eager heart revealed in the prodigal son.
He's heard 'God's timing is perfect' his entire church life, and it feels spiritual to wait patiently. Rushing seems like forcing God's hand or lacking trust, and he's been taught that trials produce patience.
Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus despite the crowd telling him to be quiet and wait. Jesus stopped immediately, called him, and said 'What do you want?' Bartimaeus said 'I want to see,' and Jesus said 'Go your way, your faith has made you well'—he IMMEDIATELY received his sight.
I REFUSE the lie that God is making me wait for some perfect future timing. IT IS WRITTEN that NOW is the accepted time, NOW is the day of salvation—not tomorrow, not after I've endured enough, NOW. Before I even call, He has answered. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 107:20, 'He sent His word and healed them'—sent is past tense, already done. I'm not waiting for God to decide to heal me; I'm receiving what He already released at the cross. The BARAK blessing doesn't delay—it commands the blessing on my storehouses NOW. Every healing Jesus did was IMMEDIATE—that's still His pattern. I receive my healing NOW in Jesus' name.
The Father isn't asking you to wait while He decides if the timing is right—He already decided at the cross, and He's been waiting for YOU to realize it's already yours. He's not withholding for some sovereign reason; He's extending the bread of healing and saying 'Take and eat, this is already prepared for you.'
