"God's punishing me for leaving my last job the way I did."
How it sounds in your head: I knew I should've given two weeks. I burned that bridge. I was disrespectful. This unemployment is karma. God's making me learn my lesson before He'll open another door.
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:13-14Religious karma theology replacing grace with cosmic payback system requiring punishment before restoration.
The timing feels too coincidental - he left badly and now can't find work, as if there's a divine waiting period for bad behavior.
Abraham LIED to Pharaoh, calling Sarah his sister to save his own skin, putting her in Pharaoh's harem through deception. God plagued PHARAOH, defended Abraham the LIAR, and Abraham left Egypt RICHER with livestock, silver, and gold - immediate blessing despite terrible behavior.
I REFUSE the lie that God is punishing me for how I left. IT IS WRITTEN that He has forgiven ALL trespasses, nailing every requirement to the cross. There is NO divine waiting period. I am not under law but under GRACE. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 there is NO condemnation to those in Christ. The BARAK blessing protected liars, deceivers, and murderers - it's not based on perfect exits. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. My next door is opening NOW, not after some punishment period. The Father is running toward me, not withholding.
The Father isn't making you sit in timeout for a bad exit - He's the God who blessed Abraham immediately after Abraham LIED and endangered his wife. He's opening doors right now that have nothing to do with how you closed the last one.
