"God's pace is too slow for my generation; I need results now."

How it sounds in your head: You can download a movie in 30 seconds, order food and have it arrive in 20 minutes, and text someone and get an answer immediately. Why would God work slower than DoorDash? Maybe the 'wait on God' thing worked for old people who didn't have options, but you live in a world where everything is instant—why shouldn't breakthrough be too?

Hebrews 13:8

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

-- Hebrews 13:8
Enemy whispers: 'God's too old-school for your life.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Hebrews 13:8 - 'Jesus Christ is the SAME yesterday, today, and forever.' That means the God who turned water to wine INSTANTLY is YOUR God TODAY. The God who spoke fish into Peter's net after a night of failure works in YOUR generation. God doesn't change speeds—He's ALWAYS been the God of suddenly. When Jesus spoke, Lazarus came out of the grave IMMEDIATELY after four days dead. Your God invented instant; He's not slow, He's STRATEGIC.
Quick Truth: LIE: God is outdated. TRUTH: Jesus is the SAME—yesterday, today, forever (Heb 13:8). Instant breakthrough is His specialty.

Source: Enemy exploiting instant-gratification culture to redefine faith as outdated; world system conditioning you to expect speed over substance.

Why this feels true:

Literally everything in your life is optimized for speed—fast food, fast internet, fast shipping. The only thing that seems slow is God, and that makes you wonder if maybe the church generation gap includes God being out of touch with how the world actually works now.

Mark 10:46-52
Bartimaeus

Blind Bartimaeus was a beggar stuck on the side of the road, ignored by everyone until he cried out to Jesus. The moment Jesus spoke to him, the Bible says 'IMMEDIATELY he received his sight'—no process, no gradually getting better, just instant supernatural breakthrough from total blindness to perfect vision.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that God is too slow for my generation. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus Christ is the SAME yesterday, today, and forever—the God of instant breakthrough hasn't retired. He turned water to wine IMMEDIATELY, opened blind eyes INSTANTLY, and raised the dead SUDDENLY. My Father doesn't adapt to culture; culture bows to HIS power. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out—that's the BARAK blessing that moved faster than any algorithm, any app, any delivery service. My breakthrough doesn't need WiFi speed; it moves at SUDDENLY speed, and I receive it NOW.

But God actually:

Your Father doesn't need to catch up to your generation—He invented the concept of 'suddenly' before time existed. What you're calling a delay is actually Him loading something so big that when it drops into your life, you'll realize instant was always His specialty, and your DoorDash faith is about to meet your Red Sea reality.
