"Godly men don't exist anymore. The ones who claim to be Christian are hypocrites or toxic."
How it sounds in your head: You've met the church guys who quote Scripture but treat women terribly, who use 'biblical manhood' to excuse control, who are spiritual on Sundays and cruel on Mondays. You're exhausted by performative faith masking character issues.
"You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit."
-- Matthew 7:16-20Cynicism from religious trauma—judges all based on experience with counterfeits, limiting God's ability to reveal authentic faith.
She's been hurt by men who used Christian language as manipulation. She's seen pastor scandals, spiritual abuse, toxic purity culture damage. The 'godly men' she's encountered were often the most harmful, hiding behind Scripture.
A wealthy man of God who treated a vulnerable foreign woman with respect, protection, and generosity without expecting anything in return—didn't use his power to manipulate, didn't spiritualize control. He PRAISED her character, protected her reputation, and honored her publicly. One encounter revealed his authentic godliness through ACTION, not religious talk.
I REFUSE the lie that authentic godly men don't exist. IT IS WRITTEN that you will know them by their fruits—a good tree CANNOT bear bad fruit. Counterfeits don't cancel out the real; they confirm its value. The enemy sends religious fakes because the authentic is powerful. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 5:22-23 that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control—and that fruit exists in men who abide in the Vine. I am under the BARAK blessing where God brought Ruth to Boaz, a man whose character matched his confession—God has men of authentic faith, and I will recognize them by Christlike fruit, not Christian vocabulary. The same God who protected Ruth from counterfeits and led her to the real deal protects and leads me.
Your Father sees your disappointment with religious hypocrites, and He's not asking you to settle for performance. He has men who ABIDE in Him and therefore bear authentic fruit—and He's aligning your path with theirs.
