"God took my business to teach me to depend on Him instead of money"
How it sounds in your head: I was trusting in wealth instead of God. He had to strip it away to get my attention back on Him. The business failure was divine discipline to refocus my priorities.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Religion: Makes God the author of destruction to accomplish spiritual goals
She can identify times she prioritized business over prayer. The loss feels like correction from a Father teaching dependence.
Peter denied Jesus three times, went back to fishing, and caught nothing all night—total business failure. Jesus didn't lecture him about learning dependence; He gave him a net-breaking catch of 153 fish immediately.
I REFUSE the lie that God took my business to teach me dependence. IT IS WRITTEN that the thief comes to steal but Jesus came to give abundant life—the Father doesn't author destruction. Peter's fishing business failed after denying Jesus, and Jesus responded with a net-breaking catch, not a lesson on priorities. IT IS WRITTEN that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. The BARAK blessing declares I am blessed coming in and going out—God's not stripping me to refocus me; He's restoring me because that's His nature.
The Father is running toward you with abundance, not using business failure as a teaching tool. He's been preparing the fattened calf for restoration while you've been confusing the thief's work with divine curriculum.
