"God only provides for needs, not investments or dreams. I should have been more practical."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I was being greedy or immature trying to invest. God probably only cares about food and shelter, not dreams. I should have been more 'responsible' and just saved it. Now I've learned God only does basics.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
-- Ephesians 3:20Religious poverty gospel that limits God to survival mode and calls dreaming 'irresponsible,' making minimalism sound like faith.
She's heard 'God will provide your NEEDS' preached without mention of abundance, so she believes wanting more than survival is greedy.
God offered him anything. Solomon asked for wisdom. God said 'because you didn't ask for wealth, I'm giving you wealth AND wisdom beyond measure.' God gave him what he DIDN'T ask for—exceedingly abundantly above. Solomon became the richest king in history.
I REFUSE the lie that God only provides for survival and calls dreaming irresponsible. IT IS WRITTEN that He does EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE all I ask or think. My Father isn't a minimalist—He's EXTRAVAGANT. He gives me the desires of my heart because I delight in Him. The BARAK blessing declares I will have OVERFLOW—so much I'll lend to nations and lack nothing. IT IS WRITTEN that my God shall supply ALL my needs according to His RICHES in glory, and His riches don't stop at rent and groceries. I declare supernatural abundance, dream-fulfilling resources, and MORE THAN ENOUGH flooding my life right now.
Your Father didn't send His Son to die just so you could barely scrape by. He's planning abundance that makes your 'practical plans' look like pocket change, and He's about to give you resources for dreams you haven't even dreamed yet because He's that good.
