"God must be shaking His head at how I've handled my life."
How it sounds in your head: You're sixty-four, and when God looks at the choices you've made—the marriages, the careers, the money, the relationships—He must be shaking His head in disappointment. You've made a mess, and He knows it.
"Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
-- Hebrews 12:2Source: Religion's 'God is watching' threat, making God a disapproving observer instead of a loving Father.
At this age, you can see patterns and consequences clearly. You shake YOUR head at some choices—logic says God does too.
David committed adultery, murdered Uriah, lied to cover it, destroyed a family. When confronted, God said 'You are forgiven'—SAME DAY. David wrote Psalm 51 but stayed king, stayed in Messianic line, stayed called 'man after God's own heart.'
I REFUSE the lie that God is shaking His head at me. IT IS WRITTEN: For the JOY set before Him, Jesus endured the cross—I am that JOY, not His disappointment. My Father isn't disappointed; He's SATISFIED. IT IS WRITTEN: It is FINISHED. My life isn't a disappointment under review; it's a MASTERPIECE in progress. I am Abraham's seed—the BARAK blessing isn't based on perfect decisions. Jacob made TERRIBLE choices and became ISRAEL.
Your Father isn't shaking His head—He's NODDING in approval because He sees you through JESUS. Like the prodigal's father, He's not reviewing your mistakes; He's RUNNING toward you with arms OPEN.
