"God kept me single as punishment for my past sexual sins."
How it sounds in your head: You slept around before you got saved, or maybe you struggled with porn for decades. Now you're old and alone and it feels like God's payback. You reap what you sow, and you sowed wild oats.
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."
-- Psalm 103:12Religion twists 'reaping and sowing' into karma, making God a cosmic accountant instead of a lavish Father.
You DID sin sexually. You ARE single. The timeline FEELS like punishment. Preachers said consequences are inevitable.
She'd had FIVE husbands and was living with a man unmarried—a sexual train wreck by any standard. Jesus didn't condemn her or make her single as punishment. He offered LIVING WATER and called her into purpose. No punishment, just love.
I REFUSE the lie that God punishes me with singleness for sexual sin. IT IS WRITTEN that He has removed my transgressions as far as east from west. My past is under the BLOOD. IT IS WRITTEN in John 4 that Jesus offered the sexually broken woman living water, not condemnation. I am BARAK-blessed like Judah who slept with his daughter-in-law and stayed in the Messianic line. God doesn't withhold; He RUNS toward me with love. I am FREE.
The Father whispers: 'I'm not keeping you single as payback—I don't DO payback. I do MERCY. If I've kept you single, it's protection or preparation, not punishment. Your sexual past is FORGOTTEN.' He's been wooing you with forgiveness, not scorekeeping.
