"God is silent because He's teaching me patience and character through waiting."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone says God's delays are His way of building character in me, teaching me to trust His timing, growing my patience. So I guess this painful waiting is actually His will for me right now. I shouldn't ask for breakthrough because that would be resisting the lesson He's trying to teach.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."
-- James 1:17Religion makes God the author of suffering and turns His silence into a teaching tool rather than recognizing the enemy's interference.
She's heard countless sermons about the wilderness building character and waiting on God's timing. It gives meaning to the pain and makes her feel like at least there's a purpose, even if it hurts.
Suffered 12 YEARS, spent all her money on doctors who made her worse. Jesus didn't say 'you needed 12 years to build character.' He said 'your faith has made you well'—INSTANT healing, no lecture about lessons learned through suffering.
I REFUSE the lie that God authors my suffering to build character. IT IS WRITTEN that EVERY GOOD GIFT comes from the Father with no variation—He doesn't switch from blessing to withholding. Jesus came to give ABUNDANT LIFE, not abundant lessons through pain. Character is a FRUIT of abiding in the Vine, not a product of suffering. IT IS WRITTEN that it's the GOODNESS of God that leads to repentance, not His harshness. I renounce the belief that God is silent to teach me—He's SPEAKING, and He's saying 'receive your breakthrough NOW.'
Your Father isn't making you wait to see if you'll learn patience—He's the one who RAN to the prodigal while he was still far off, which shows His nature is IMMEDIATE RESTORATION, not drawn-out lessons. What you're calling 'God's timing' might be the enemy's delay that God wants to BREAK right now through your bold faith.
