"God is punishing me with infertility because of my past abortion or sexual sin."
How it sounds in your head: You made choices you can't undo. That abortion haunts you—maybe this is justice. Or those years of promiscuity, the partners before marriage, the rebellion. Now God is withholding children as payment for what you destroyed or defiled. This is karma disguised as holiness.
"I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins."
-- Isaiah 43:25Religion weaponizing past sin to assign ongoing punishment despite the finished work of the cross.
The guilt is crushing and the timing feels connected—you ended a pregnancy then, now you can't start one. The enemy uses this as 'proof' that consequences are permanent and God's forgiveness has limits.
She was a prostitute in a pagan city, sold her body for money, lived in open sin. Yet God chose her, saved her, brought her into the covenant line, and made her the great-great-grandmother of King David and ancestor of Jesus.
I REFUSE the lie that God is punishing me for my past. IT IS WRITTEN that He blots out my transgressions and remembers my sins no more. The blood of Jesus covers every abortion, every sexual sin, every rebellious choice—completely and forever. There is NO condemnation for those in Christ. IT IS WRITTEN that old things have passed away and all things have become new. My womb is not cursed by my past; it is blessed by His covenant. God is not withholding children; He is restoring what the enemy stole. I receive the gift of life without guilt, shame, or payment required.
The Father is running toward you with a baby in His arms, not a record of your sins in His hands. He's not reviewing your sexual history or counting your mistakes—He threw them into the sea of forgetfulness at the cross and now runs toward you with RESTORATION, not retribution.
