"God is more concerned with my character than my comfort, so He allows financial lack."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe this struggle is building something in me. God cares more about who I'm becoming than what I'm receiving. Lack must be His tool to shape me into His image.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."
-- James 1:17Religious lie that makes God the author of poverty and suffering, contradicting His nature as good Father.
She's heard a thousand sermons about God's refining fire and character-building trials. Lack feels spiritual, like a badge of deeper faith.
When Job's trial ENDED, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him TWICE as much as before—14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 oxen, 1,000 donkeys. God's END GAME is always RESTORATION and ABUNDANCE, not perpetual lack.
I REFUSE the lie that God uses poverty to build me. IT IS WRITTEN that every GOOD gift comes from the Father, and lack is NOT good. Character is the FRUIT of the Spirit in me, not the result of financial suffering. The BARAK blessing includes being the HEAD and not the tail, ABOVE and not beneath. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus became poor so I might become RICH. God is not withholding comfort to teach me—He's my good Father who gives bread, not stones. I receive His abundance as proof of His goodness.
Your Father doesn't starve you to make you grateful for crumbs. He's preparing a table before you in the presence of your enemies, anointing your head with oil, making your cup OVERFLOW. Lack isn't His teaching tool—LOVE is, and love gives generously.
