"God is let down that I'm not excited about church and youth group anymore"
How it sounds in your head: I used to love church and now it feels boring. Youth group feels fake sometimes. I'd rather stay home and I feel guilty about it. God must be so disappointed that I'm losing interest in His house.
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."

She's developing discernment and authenticity while being taught that church attendance equals faithfulness. Her growing awareness of performance in church settings feels like losing faith rather than maturing.
David ate the consecrated bread reserved ONLY for priests when he was hungry - breaking religious rules. Jesus DEFENDED this in Matthew 12, saying David was 'NOT GUILTY' because relationship trumps religious requirements every time.
I REFUSE the lie that God measures me by church attendance! IT IS WRITTEN that the Father seeks worship in SPIRIT and TRUTH - not in buildings or programs! David broke religious rules when hungry and Jesus called him NOT GUILTY! IT IS WRITTEN in Matthew 11:28 - 'Come to ME, all who are weary' - not 'come to MORE MEETINGS'! My desire for REAL over PERFORMANCE is HEALTHY, not rebellious! I stand in the BARAK blessing - God met Jacob in the WILDERNESS, not the temple! The Father cares about my HEART, not my attendance record! He's not the youth pastor taking roll; He's the Father inviting REAL relationship!
The Father who made you to crave authenticity isn't offended that you're detecting performance. He's the one giving you eyes to see the difference between PROGRAM and PRESENCE - and He's inviting you to something REAL, which might look very different than what you've been handed.
