"God is disappointed I haven't maintained my appearance and health like I should have."
How it sounds in your head: My body is aging, I've gained weight, I don't have the energy I used to. I know my body is a temple and I feel like I've let it fall into disrepair. God must be disappointed that I haven't stewarded this gift better.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me... For when I am weak, then I am strong."

You hear sermons about your body being God's temple and see fit, healthy Christians your age—meanwhile you're exhausted, carrying extra weight, dealing with hormone changes. It feels like you've failed at basic stewardship.
Had a persistent physical ailment ('thorn in the flesh')—begged God THREE times to remove it. God said NO and instead gave him grace to carry it, making weakness the stage for divine strength. Physical limitation became spiritual glory.
I REFUSE the lie that God is disappointed in my aging, changing body. IT IS WRITTEN that His strength is made PERFECT in weakness—my tired, hormonally-shifting, aging body is not a failure but a TEMPLE where His power shines. Paul BOASTED in physical weakness and God was GLORIFIED. IT IS WRITTEN in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that I was bought with a price—that price secured FOREVER, not dependent on my body's condition. God isn't measuring my fitness or counting my pounds. He's filling my WEAKNESS with His STRENGTH.
Your Father isn't disappointed in your changing body. He's looking at you with tender compassion, seeing your exhaustion and limitations, whispering: 'This is exactly where My strength shines brightest—in your beautiful, weak, human body.'
