"God is angry that I wasted so much of my life—I missed His plan and it's too late to fix it."
How it sounds in your head: I look back at 90+ years and see so many wrong turns, so much time lost. I raised my kids wrong. I chose the wrong career. I didn't serve God like I should have. Now I'm at the end and there's no time to make it right. I failed.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy condemnation disguised as regret—making God a disappointed taskmaster tallying failures instead of a Father celebrating a prodigal's return.
The mistakes WERE real, the consequences DID happen, and facing mortality makes every regret feel permanent. Religious teaching of 'you only get one life' intensifies the panic.
Manasseh reigned 55 years doing MORE evil than any king before him—sacrificing his own sons, filling Jerusalem with innocent blood. At the END of his life, he repented in captivity, and God instantly restored him to his throne and accepted him. Decades of evil—one moment of repentance—total restoration.
I REFUSE the lie that my past disqualifies my future. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locust has eaten—He redeems wasted time and turns mourning into dancing. My mistakes do not define me—His GRACE defines me. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Manasseh did evil for 55 YEARS and God restored him in a moment. The thief on the cross had one hour of obedience and eternal reward. I am Abraham's seed, walking in the BARAK blessing that covered liars, deceivers, and murderers—how much more does it cover MY regrets? God is not angry. God is not disappointed. God is RUNNING toward me with restoration, celebration, and purpose for every day I have left.
The Father is NOT standing with His arms crossed saying 'you blew it.' He's the prodigal's father, RUNNING down the road, robe flying, sandals in hand, shouting 'My daughter is HOME—let's CELEBRATE!' Every 'wasted' year becomes testimony material in His hands.
