"God gave me this fatigue to slow me down and teach me to depend on Him."
How it sounds in your head: Well-meaning Christians told you God must be trying to get your attention, that He allows weakness to make you need Him more. It sounds spiritual—suffering as God's teaching tool—so you've accepted exhaustion as divine curriculum.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Religious lie making God the author of sickness, twisting His nature into a controlling teacher who afflicts to instruct.
You've heard this theology your whole life, and it makes sense of suffering in a way that feels pious. Accepting it as 'God's plan' feels more spiritual than resisting it, and you don't want to miss what He's 'trying to teach you.'
A woman was bent over for 18 YEARS, unable to straighten up—and Jesus identified Satan as the cause: 'Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom SATAN HAS BOUND for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond?' Jesus didn't say 'whom God has taught through suffering'—He said SATAN bound her, and He LOOSED her immediately.
I REFUSE the lie that God authors my fatigue to teach me lessons. IT IS WRITTEN that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that I may have ABUNDANT LIFE. My Father is not the source of sickness or exhaustion—He is the SOURCE of life, health, and vitality. Satan is the binder; Jesus is the LOOSER. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ bore my sicknesses and carried my pains—He doesn't RE-inflict them as curriculum. The Abrahamic blessing means I am blessed with life, not cursed with chronic fatigue for spiritual growth. My dependence on God flows from His GOODNESS, not from His afflicting.
The Father isn't orchestrating your exhaustion as a teaching tool—He's the Good Shepherd who leads you to green pastures and still waters to RESTORE your soul. While you were still blaming Him for the thief's work, He was running toward you with healing, eager to show you His actual nature: LIFE-GIVER, not affliction-manager.
