"God gave me this chronic condition to teach me patience and dependence on Him."
How it sounds in your head: You're still dealing with this because God has a lesson you haven't learned yet. Your pain has spiritual purpose. If you were more patient or more dependent, maybe He'd heal you. This suffering is making you into who you need to be.
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."
-- Acts 10:38Religion twisted Job's story into a template, ignoring that God called Job's suffering an attack from the enemy and restored him double.
Every sermon on suffering quotes Romans 5:3 about trials producing perseverance, making sickness feel like God's classroom. Older believers keep saying 'God won't waste your pain,' cementing the idea that He authored it.
She'd been bent over for 18 YEARS, unable to stand straight—religion said it was God's will. Jesus called it BONDAGE FROM SATAN, laid hands on her, and IMMEDIATELY she stood up straight and glorified God.
I REFUSE the lie that God authored my sickness to teach me something. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus healed ALL oppressed by the devil—sickness is oppression, not education. My Father didn't give His Son to die for my sins but leave me sick for character development. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 53:5 that by His stripes I AM healed—past tense, finished work. I am Abraham's seed, heir to the BARAK blessing that includes health and wholeness. My body is being renewed by the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead. I receive healing NOW, not after I've learned enough.
Your Father isn't withholding healing until you pass some spiritual maturity test—He's already provided it at the cross. Like the prodigal's father who ran with the robe of righteousness while the son still reeked of pig pens, your Father is running toward you with healing in His wings, not waiting for you to deserve it.
