"God gave me a ministry calling but is taking me before I fulfilled it."
How it sounds in your head: You had so much more to do, so many more people to reach. You're dying with the assignment incomplete. Did you miss something? Did you fail to finish what God started?
"So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."
-- John 19:30Religion—taught that God's call comes with a checklist you must complete to be considered faithful.
There were dreams unfulfilled, books unwritten, people unreached. Death feels premature because your internal vision of 'finished' hasn't been met, and you fear disappointing God by leaving tasks undone.
Stephen preached one sermon, was stoned to death, and died young with so much 'potential' left. Yet his death sparked the spread of the Gospel beyond Jerusalem and impacted Saul's conversion—his 'unfinished' life bore more fruit than a long life of lesser obedience.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm leaving my calling unfinished. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus said, 'It is FINISHED'—and that finished work covers every uncompleted task on my list. I have been FAITHFUL, and that's all God ever asked. IT IS WRITTEN that He who began a good work in me will complete it, and if He's calling me home, then my part is DONE. The BARAK blessing means my life has produced fruit that will remain, and the seeds I planted will keep growing long after I'm gone. I am NOT a failure—I am a faithful daughter hearing 'Well done' from the Father's lips.
The Father isn't standing at the gates with a clipboard checking off your uncompleted tasks—He's flinging the doors open, shouting, 'She's HERE! My faithful daughter is HOME!' Your calling was never about what you finished; it was about WHO you became, and He's been so proud of you every single step.
