"God blesses spiritual investments, not earthly wealth. I should focus on storing treasures in heaven, not seeking money here."
How it sounds in your head: Jesus said don't store up treasures on earth. Maybe my financial struggle is actually spiritual maturity - I'm focused on eternal things while others chase money. Seeking earthly wealth feels like I'm investing in the wrong kingdom.
"And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
-- Deuteronomy 8:18Source: Religion - false dichotomy between earthly provision and heavenly treasure, making financial blessing seem opposed to spiritual growth instead of connected.
Jesus clearly taught about storing treasures in heaven and warned against serving money. Every message on eternal perspective seems to minimize earthly provision as carnal or temporary. Shouldn't I be focused on souls, not dollars?
Jehoshaphat was outnumbered by three armies and terrified. He didn't fight - he sent WORSHIPERS out front. God caused the enemies to destroy each other, and Judah spent THREE DAYS gathering spoils - so much wealth they couldn't carry it all.
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual maturity means earthly poverty. IT IS WRITTEN: God gives me POWER to get wealth to establish His covenant on earth. Wealth isn't opposed to kingdom focus - it FUNDS kingdom advance. The BARAK blessing includes earthly provision to BE a blessing to nations. IT IS WRITTEN: I am blessed to be a blessing. My prosperity isn't carnal - it's COVENANT. I store treasure in heaven AND walk in financial blessing here, because God's kingdom needs BOTH. Earthly wealth in righteous hands establishes heaven's agenda on earth.
The Father doesn't make you choose between spiritual depth and earthly provision - He runs to you with the RING of authority AND the ROBE of honor AND the FATTENED CALF for provision. He gives BOTH because you're His son.
